Silver Beach Worship

Meals for the Hungry

Good News Club

Come and experience worship at Silver beach. On the Eastern Shore, Silver beach is often referred to as ‘God’s original sanctuary.’ Epworth has had the honor of hosting Silver Beach Ministry every summer, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, for more than 25 years. We commence worship at 8:30 on Kellam Drive, by the water. You can arrive on foot, in your golf carts, on bicycles, or by car. Many people bring their dogs along with their mugs. Numerous kids join us and delight in worshiping by the water.”
If you have the chance, join us for a meal at Epworth every Wednesday at 5:30 PM. Meals for the Hungry is our Wednesday night community supper. In 2012, Faithful Followers, one of our small groups, felt God’s call to feed those who are spiritually and physically hungry in our community. On that very day, Mr. Jack Parks, who had asked God to use him to provide warm homemade meals to those in need, coincidentally learned about the faithful followers’ desire. They soon collaborated and initiated this ministry in January 2012. Every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30, Meals for the Hungry creates another church community in Epworth—where our neighbors come to eat, make friends, and even sing along together.”
Located right next to Occohannock Elementary School, Epworth has hosted an After School program for many years. Now, we host the Good News Club for the students at Occohannock Elementary School. Every Monday, right after school, the kids come to our church to learn about Jesus, develop Christian friendships with others, and grow in faith and love.
